This is a photo of me.
My Name is Serena. Essentially, I am Tree Kangaroo Creative: I’m an artistically-informed, business-savvy entrepreneur doing the work I love out of my home office.
I am a Rhode Islander (11 years now, woo-hoo!) transplanted from the lovely state of Maine. I attended the University of Maine, Rhode Island College, and the New York Film Academy. (I, too, dream of directing the next Amelie, but alas.... ) I am largely self-taught in the visual arts since high school, where I had a rigorous art and music education thanks to our stellar public school and much private training. I am also an accomplished pianist and singer. I have lived as an artist-in-residence at Providence arts coop AS220, performed on stages throughout the East Coast, and been a part of the Providence Renaissance first-hand. I currently live and work in the Smith Hill area.
In short, I am a Jill of All Trades who is just itching to have a crack at realizing your wildest creative notions!
I should warn you that I have a very unconventional approach to design and creative services. Proceed with caution if you are afraid of things that are "different" or "interesting." However, if you want your business to stand out, really reflect you, and capture the attention of like-minded individuals, please continue reading.
My work speaks for itself and I am more than willing to go the extra mile for my customers. I sincerely care about my clients and the projects I work on. I do my best to ease the stress caused by large projects by keeping things friendly and informal, all while offering professional results and, if necessary, a bit of education about the services you're purchasing. I strongly feel that the more you know about what you're getting, the more confident you’ll feel about how it's working for you.
My top priority is to provide accessible, fun and cutting-edge design to local individuals and small businesses who want to delve into the world of grassroots and guerrilla marketing. Let's have some fun. Let's make something amazing!
I dare us.
